Kannagara has a thriving economy built around commerce in villages and trade between villages and countries. Even Yomisato has its own private economy, and jobs are plentiful everywhere in the world.
Your character will be able to find a job or start their own business. There are plenty of abandoned shops and restaurants, waiting for someone to take them over, as well as businesses that need help, farmers who need more farmhands, so on and so forth. There is also the option of living off of the animals that are caught in this world! Every wild animal and beast in the world has money located in their guts -- if your character cannot find a job, they can get by if they continue to kill enough animals and gut them for the money. Given, it might not be so easy to find these animals due to a thriving hunting industry, which may mean competition between your character and other hunters, but it is possible to live a very simple, but meager lifestyle, by hunting these animals.
Of course, if your character wants a steady source of income, it is best if they get a stable job.
getting your character a job
Simply look at the settings, or come up with one of your own! You can either play out your character getting the job, or you can assume that they did behind the scenes. It isn't necessary to play every single thing that occurs to your character in this game, after all; handwaving job acquisition is totally fine by us. Setting up a business, however, might be a little more complicated -- we want to see evidence of how your character goes about with setting up a business, such through discussion with other characters on the network about it, or through actual action logs or threads where your character is setting up shop, so to speak.
money and finances It is not necessary to keep track of every mon your character makes in this game. How much money your character has is up to you -- just try to be realistic about it. Your character is not going to become rich overnight unless a divine gift is given to them. Be realistic of finances and how your character manages them and that is all we really expect. Keep in mind that your character has to pay for food (unless they hunt, steal, or gather it outside of the village, since most farms belong to an NPC), rent, clothing, and other things they need for survival in this game.
Be realistic about the cost of things as well -- luxury items, such as items summoned from your character's world, will most likely cost much more than an item from Kannagara. A fine silk gown will probably be much more expensive than something made of cheap muslin. Of course, bartering and haggling exists in this world, so your character is free to try and convince shop owners to sell things to your character for less.
